Artists are inspired by many things - nature, people, animals, music, sunsets, and sometimes
even a simple bowl of fruit. This painting was influenced by one of my three grandchildren, all
of whom continually supply an energetic flow of fanciful inspiration! The girl in the painting, a
self-proclaimed princess (the best kind!) happens to be a big fan of Cinderella. The final
touch of the pink blossoms, created separately through gelli-plate printing and added to the painting, pulled the piece together, becoming the exclamation point to the vibrant garden, befitting of her majesty.
